Although it may not be where I'm from, it has become my home over the past four years. Small and secluded, it has been the ideal place for me to re-group, and re-connecting with photography.
If you haven't been here, put it on your bucket list.
My white whale.
Ever since I moved to the island I knew that I need to get to Gannet Rock. Being a lighthouse on an island 10 kilometres off of Grand Manan, I knew that my chances to actually get there were slim to none.
Luckily I know some pretty amazing people who wanted to go whale watching and it turned into exploring this amazing piece of history.
By no means am I a birder, but when the opportunity came up to go and see these little colourful guys, I couldn't pass it up.
This is one of those island experiences that you shouldn't miss out on.
Talk about putting things into perspective.
There are certain things we get to experience in life that make us realize just how small a part of everything we are, and the Rockies definitely make you feel small. We have so much beauty in our "little" country, take every chance you can to see every part of it!
