My first wedding of 2017 couldn't have gone any better!
It's always a time when our family gets together and yesterday was no exception! Coming together to see Kayla & Ryan to make people jealous with how much they love each other was the perfect venue for one-liners, embarrassing stories and even a few tears.
Congratulations your two! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your special day!
Welcome to the best little secret on Grand Manan.
Ok, ok. Yes I know this shop technically not a "person", but I can promise you it has more character then you can handle! That being said, Jane (the owner & one of my most favourite people!), is why most people swing by to chat, have therapy sessions and even the occasional dance party!
The next time you visit Grand Manan, this is a must stop.
I don't even know where to begin with this great family! You guys were so much fun, always smiling and up for anything! And it's not everyday I get invited for supper after a photo shoot!
Thank you so much for being so easy to work with, for opening up your home and for letting me have the opportunity to get to know you guys!
What a wedding!
Emma & Michael were my first wedding on the island and what a time it was! When you combine islanders with some friends from across "the pond", you know you're in for an amazing experience for which I was grateful to be a part of!
I only really started considering myself a portrait photographer since I moved to Grand Manan and Harley has always been a willing muse.
It doesn't make any difference what setting she's in, and I've put her in some pretty precarious ones, she always steals the show and I walk away with some of the best portraits I've ever taken.
Incredible couple, amazing location.
This was probably the only time I'll do a wedding on an island with no power and where the guests have to be shuttled back and forth by boats.
Luckily she doesn't mind being in front of the camera, and doesn't mind hanging out with the guy behind it!
Talk about trust!
Erin and I had never met but she knew whenever I was in her area she wanted me to take her photos, and I'm so happy I got the opportunity to capture her.
What a smile!
I had never met Maddison before this shoot, but she definitely left an impression in the short time we had together! Bubbly, always smiling, and an infectious positivity are only a few of the amazing traits she has in her arsenal, plus she's a stellar baller!
With a name like that how could you not take their pictures?
Ok, ok. More accurately how can you not take pictures of your family! Leanne, Seth and Eden are always a time, especially since Eden seems to be scared of her uncle! Hopefully by the time baby Fancy #2 arrives later this year she'll get used to my camera!
Although they may have only been on the island for a year, I can tell that they definitely had an impact on everyone they came in contact with!
I may have only met you guys a few weeks before you went back to New Zealand, but I am glad I had that small moment in time to share with your family!
A country wedding unlike any other.
Hay trailers, a family farm and groomsmen with shotguns, what else could you possibly want?!
One, a friend since we were 5 and the other a friend from summer camp.
Perhaps one of the most authentic and easy going couples you will ever meet, their wedding day was a reflection of how much people love them and how much they love each other.
